Cumi T. Etheridge was the wife of William Abel Halley, the daughter of William A. Etheridge, Sr. and Nancy Wilson, and the sister of Albert Thurman Etheridge who married his sister, Martha Melissa Halley in Union Parish, Louisiana.

She was interred by Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Ouachita County, Arkansas. The funeral certificate states that she was a widow at the time of her death. Her father is listed as W. A. Etheridge and her mother as Nancy Wilson. The informant is Mrs. D. W. Maxwell of Camden. Service was held in the Proctor Chapel on Thursday May 31, 1956 at 10 AM by ministers Dr. T. L. Harris and Rev. O. D. Wood. Place of interment, Greenhill Cemetery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello and was survived by: son, Carl H. Halley from Memphis; son W. A. Etheridge [sic; this is an error for her father] from Wilmar; daughter, Mrs. D. W. Maxwell of Camden; daughter Mrs. J. C. Butler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Mrs. W. C. Hogue from Little Rock; sister, Mrs. W. R. McClintock of Little Rock; sister, Mrs. W. S. Evans of Little Rock; sister Mrs. Tilghmon [sic; Tillman] of Wilmar; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great-grandchildren; 2 Great-great-grandchildren.

Her death certificate states she was living at 725 Clifton St. N. W., Camden, Arkansas, that her parents were W. A. Etheredge [sic; Etheridge] and Nancy Wilson, and that she died of chronic nephritis.
