Nathaniel was born in Middletown, Connecticut to Ensign Daniel White and Susanna Mould on Sept 3, 1685. He married Mehitable Hurlbut, daughter of John Hurlbut and Mary Deming on July 29, 1714 in Middletown.

Nathaniel wrote his will on April 22, 1743. An inventory was taken on June 14, 1743 and it was proven on July 5, 1743. The will was written as follows:

"I, Nathaniel White of Middletown, in the County of Hartford, do make this my last will and testament: Imprimis: I give to Mehetabell my wife 1-3 part of all my moveable estate besides what I have ordered for her use by deed in houseing and land: this I give to Mehetabell my wife and to her heirs forever. I give to my eldest son Nathaniel White, besides what I have given him by deed of gift, all my interest in the last three miles granted to the Town of Middletown, and likewise one mare which he has in possession, he paying 4 in old tenor money ot his sisters Abigail and Sara: this I give to my son Nathaniel and to his heirs forever. I give to my son Elijah White one mare which he has in his posession, and 6 sheep, besides what I have already gien him by deed of gift: this I give to my son Elijah White and to his heirs and assigns forever. I gove to my son Noadiah White, besides what I have already given him by deed of gift, one mare and 6 sheep, and 2-3 of my carpenter's tools, he taking care of his mother. And it is my will that my son Noadiah shall provide for his own mother all that she needs for her comfortable subsistence during her natural life: this I give to my son Noadiah and his heirs forever. I give to my daughter Sary White, out of the remaining part of my moveable estate, first of all, so much as to make her up equal with what her sister Abigail has already had, and then, after Sary is made even with her sister Abigail, the remaining part part of all my moveable estate I give to my two daughters, Abigail and Sary, equally divided between them: this I give to my two daughters, Abigail and Sary, and to their heirs forever. And I make my son Noadiah White sole executor.

Witness: Joseph White, John Shepherd and John Hall Jr."

It's not currently known where Nathaniel or his wife are buried, but as they passed in Middletown and most of their family members are buried in one of the local cemeteries, they probably are as well, the stone is probably sunken. If you have any information on their final resting places, please contact me.
