Son of William & Mary Ann [Stow] Felton. His birth was recorded in Northborough. Bolton is entered as the place of birth.

He and Hannah B. or D. Whitney (depending on which record is viewed) married in Stow on May 7, 1861.

Enlisted in Co. L 2nd Mass Heavy Artillery on 22 December 1863. Transferred to Co. H on 11 July 1865, at that time located in New Bern, N.C. (See attached digital copies of record cards.) Based on information in the Northborough Historical Society archives, he may have been injured in battle in September of 1865. No other record has been found to confirm.

Spinal disease is entered as the cause of his death in the Sutton death register. His funeral service was performed at St. John's Episcopal Church (now named Holy Spirit Episcopal Church) in the Wilkinsonville district of Sutton where the family lived at that time.
