Blake Michael Henson, age 20, Brownstown, passed away at 1:09 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Scott County Hospital, Scottsburg.

Mr. Henson attended Medora Christian Church and was employed at Aisin Manufacturing in Seymour and was formerly employed at Jay C in Brownstown. He was a 2009 graduate of Brownstown Central High School and played on the high school baseball and golf teams. He attended the University of Northern Ohio. He was an avid off-road racer and a member of American Motorcycle Association.

Born on November 21, 1990, in Jackson County, he was the son of John and Amy McKain Henson, both of whom survive in Brownstown.

Other survivors include one brother, Brandon Henson, Brownstown; paternal grandmother, Beulah Henson, Medora; maternal grandparents, Sonny (Jaynie) McKain, Cortland, and Theresa (Granville) Herthel, Ramsey; great-grandmother, Elva Fleetwood, Norman; uncles, Bobby (Ilene) Henson and Jerry Henson; and aunts, Beth (Kyle) Wilson and Kelly Herthel.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Henson and great-grandfather, Leston Fleetwood.
Stan Thomas will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to be donated to the American Motorcycle Association.
