MULVANE - Audie S. Cassingham, 97, died Jan. 28, 1995, at Villa Maria Nursing Home, Mulvane.
She was born Jan. 20, 1898, at Eagle City, Okla., the daughter of Albert W. and Ella Sprout. A longtime resident of Haviland and Pratt, living the past 12 years in Mulvane, she was a teacher for Kiowa and Pratt counties for 17 years and was owner and operator of Beauty Shop for over 50 years.
She was a member of Haviland Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Bridge Club, all at Haviland.
On Jan. 20, 1924, she married Roy Cassingham at Dodge City, He died June 7, 1980.
Survivors include: a daughter, Linda Lou Glaser, Mulvane; two brothers, Ralph G. Sprout, Reseda, Calif., and Deane 0. Sprout, Indianapolis, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, with the Rev. John Hastings presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt.
