David married Henrietta McWillie 3-13-1851 in Parish Muckno, Co. Monaghan, Ireland, immediately sailed for America arriving in New York in time for their first son to be born in July of 1851, they migrated onto Pennsylvania and had another son Samuel and onto Iowa for the third and fourth sons of David and William and by the time of his early demise in about January of 1862 they had four sons & she was expecting a daughter. We believe he is buried in the Keller Cemetery, Elkhart Twp., Polk Co., IA since this cemetery is located on his farm at the time of his death, he probably was the first burial in the cemetery. There is no marker but his gravesite hasn't been found elsewhere. His children were: Thomas James, Samuel John, David Charles II, William Henry and Frances "Fanny" McKee. Thomas & Samuel, both are buried in the Byers Cemetery, Polk Co., IA; David II & Fanny McKee Lowe are both buried in Kansas & William is buried in Kittitas Co., WA. All of this information from one of his greatgranddaughters in Oklahoma.
