Scott W. Dennis of Carver died Saturday, Sept. 3, at the age of 50. Scott was the loving son of Robert W. and Judith M. (Taylor) Dennis of East Bridgewater. Scott grew up in East Bridgewater and attended South Eastern Regional High School. He worked for Little Dryden Enterprises LLC and later attended Armstrong Flooring School and spent many years as a flooring subcontractor. Scott loved to cook and enjoyed canning his own foods. He enjoyed antiques, and was a skilled craftsman. His sense of humor and devotion to friends will be missed by all who knew him. He was the loving stepfather of Curtis Cline of South Carolina and the late Frederick Jackson; loving brother of Julie E. Stone and her husband Carl of Carver and Jeffrey T. Dennis and his wife Christine of Sandwich; loving uncle of Jesse, James, Tyler and Catherine; loving nephew of Priscilla L Taylor of Abington; former husband of Jeanine M. Hughes of South Carolina. Friends and family are invited to a funeral home service Friday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, followed by a private burial at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington. Visitation period Thursday evening from 5-8. Scott was always empathetic to the downtrodden and in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Main Spring House, 54 North Main St., Brockton, MA 02301.
