Funeral services will he held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Sparkman-Brand Funeral Chapel, 2115 Ross, for W. D. Conatser, 65, who died unexpectedly Saturday. The Rev. Homer B. Reynolds, pastor of Ross Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Conatser, who lived at 6025 Palo Pinto, was a barber in Dallas for thirty-five years. At one time he was proprieter of the First National Bank Building Barber Shop. He worked at the Republic Bank Building Barber Shop at the time of his death. During World War I, he served overseas as a member of the 36th Division. He was born in Bowie.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nannie F. Conatser; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Conatser of Aronville, Calif., three daughters, Mrs. Rex Smith of Shawnee, Okla.; Mrs. G. S. Payne Sr. and Mrs. J.C. Wilson, both of Dallas; three sons, W. E. Fagg, V. G. Fagg and R. M. Fagg, all of Dallas; three brothers, Robert L. Conatser of Napa, Calif., Melvin Conatser of Chico, Calif. and Josh Conatser of Florida; two sisters, Mrs. L. D. Massengale of Dallas, and Mrs. W. J. Losier, Long Beach, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be George Davis, Charles Cates, H. R. Richards, N. C. Nanny, Howard Kirkham, all of Dallas, and J. P. Grissom of Kemp.
