The funeral for Tony Dewayne Messer will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home chapel.
Messer, 28, of London's John R. Jones Road died of a gunshot wound at his residence Tuesday, Jan. 11, 1994.
Born Jan. 4, 1966 in Laurel County - he was the son of London's Tony Messer and Surbrina Allen England, who both survive. He also was affiliated with Baptist faith.
Besides his parents, survivors include his wife, Debra Eversole Messer; two children, Kimberly Faye and Todd Dewayne Messer, both of London; four siblings, Donna Eversole, Teresa Smith, Rhonda Gail Messer and Jamie Messer, all of London; two step-brothers, Charlie Hawk, London and Jason England, Detroit, Mich.; and one step-sister, Tabitha Hawk, London.
Pastors David Jones and Gary Messer will conduct the funeral with burial following in Liberty Cemetery, London.
Pallbearers will be Alva Johnson, Kenneth Simpson, Steven England, Ronnie Moore, Charlie Hawk and Paul Whitworth.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
