Mr and Mrs. Thomas J. Jordan, Sr., Lyons Falls, were informed Saturday by the adjutant general of the War Department, Washington DC, that their son, Pvt Thomas James Jordan, was killed in action in Italy on Dec 21, 1943.

Private Jordan, 19, was born March 10, 1924 in Mille Roches, Canada. He was inducted into the US Army March 4, 1943 and was sent to Camp Croft, SC where he received his basic training. From there he was sent to Schanango, Pa. On August 14 he said from New York for Africa.

Private Jordan came to Lyons Falls 13 years ago with his parents. He attended Lyons Falls High School and was a junior in Port Leyden Central School when inducted.
