Abelardo "Lalo" C. Pacheco, Sr. went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 28, 2011.

He was born on October 27, 1935 in Bastrop, Texas to Pascual and Maria Pacheco.

Lalo was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Manuela "Nellie" Alvarado Pacheco, brother Jesse Pacheco and sister Theresa Siller.

He is survived by his children, Sylvia P. Jimenez and husband Ernesto, Armando Pacheco and wife Melinda, Dianne P. Coy and husband Matthew, Abelardo C. Pacheco, Jr. and wife Michelle, and Linda P. Garza and husband Steve, eleven grandchildren, Christina Marie Luna and husband Ray, Neil Pacheco, John Michael and Shelia Pacheco, Ernesto Jimenez, Jr., Amber Leigh Ann Pacheco, John Louis Pacheco, Steven Kristopher Garza, Stephanie Lynn Garza, Abelardo Pacheco III, Alyssa Maria Garza, and Javier Cesar Pacheco and two great grandsons, John Michael Pacheco, Jr. and Jayden Matthew Pacheco.

He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Andres Pacheco, Ramiro Pacheco and wife Nancy, Chale Pacheco and wife Frances, Lupe Merino, Margie Campos and husband Lucio, and Gilbert Pacheco and wife Sandy.

Lalo was a very hard working man and loved his family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Visitation and Rosary will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop Texas. Burial will follow at Phelan Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Armando Pacheco, Steve Garza, John Michael Pacheco, Ernesto Jimenez, Jr., Steven Kristopher Garza, Abelardo Pacheco III, Marc Merino and Frank Pacheco.
