Glenn Nethery Sr. Services Friday
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday from the Seydler-Hill chapel for Glenn James Nethery, Sr., who died suddenly in Yukon, Okla., while on a trip for Harrell Cattle Company as a truck driver.
The Rev. Victor Edge of the Eastside Baptist church conducted the services with burial in the Gonzales Memorial Park.
Mr. Nethery was born in Gonzales on Sept. 14, 1924, the son of Jim and Ella Bowers Nethery. He was married on Oct. 19, 1943, to Lucille Bright.the family home was on 606 King Street, Rockport.
Survivors are his widow; his mother, Gonzales; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Cecilia) Holloway of Dallas; Mrs. Sam (Jennifer) Ellison of Rockport; three sons, Glynn Jr., Dallas; Doyle of Victoria; and Clinton Nethery of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Acsy Nowlin ofKerrville; Mrs. Boyd Glasco of Smiley; Mrs. Wesley Damon of Harwood; and Mrs. Dan Leazer of Gonzales.
