RANDLEMAN — Mr. Chad Everett Reid, 40, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, at Shining Light Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Reid was born in Guilford County on November 21, 1970. He worked as a mechanic with Reid s Air Compressor Service and most recently was employed at Alamance Glass. Chad was a real handyman and always willing to help others. He enjoyed camping with his cousins, fishing, hunting and had a love for animals, especially his canine friend "Sally".
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Reid.
Mr. Reid is survived by his mother, Mary Bunton Reid of Pleasant Garden; daughter, Kenzi Paige Reid and fiancé, Austin Reddick; son, Bailey Everett Reid both of Randleman; mother of his children, Jill Routh Kennington; brother, Brad Reid and wife Tammy of Pleasant Garden; girlfriend Donna Dickens and son Josh; niece, Kallie Reid; nephew, Ben Reid; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special brother, Jeremy Brown and fiancée, Ragen Grey.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday at Forbis and Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel and other times at the home of his mother.
