Funeral services for Andy James Bailey, 65, will be at 2 p.m. today, June 27 in Freedom Baptist Church. The Rev. James R. Haymon will officiate. Burial will be in Occupy No. 1 Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Deridder.
Visitation will be at the church.

Mr. Bailey died at 6:50pm Thursday in an Alexandria hospital. He was a native of Dry Creek, and had lived in Pitkin 20 years. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of WW II.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs Barbara Bailey, two daughters, Mrs Charlotte Ray and Mrs. Sue Lambright, both of Glenmora, and adopted daughter, Shelia Brown of Pitkin, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
