EDENTON - Syble Jordan Jones, 77, died Oct. 4, 2001 at Chowan Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Esther Winslow and Charlie J. Jordan and wife of the late William Preston Jones.
Survivors include her son, William Wesley ``Sonny'' Jones and wife, Faye of Edenton; her daughter, Jeanette Privott and husband Ray of Edenton; his sister, Esther J. Perry of Cary, N.C.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her son, Jerry Wallace Jones and her daughter, Lois Ann Jones.
A celebration of Mrs. Jones' life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Evans Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ashby Browder officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence of Ray and Jeanette Privott, 106 Manor Road, Edenton.
