Mrs. Jeanne M. James, 80, of Cornell Avenue, Palmerton, formerly of Jim Thorpe, died Sunday, Sept. 4, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of Gerald T. James. They were married on Dec. 18, 1954.

Born in Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Mary (Lauer) Cadugan.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Surviving is two sons, Jeffrey, and his wife, Mary, of Jim Thorpe, and Dale, and his wife, Rebecca, of Lehighton; three grandchildren, Christopher James, and his wife, Laura, of Nazareth, and Matthew DeHart, and his wife, Joyceann, and David DeHart, and his wife, Danielle, both of Lansford; and four great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. Brad Leight officiating.

Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday.
