Clyde F. Ammon

Clyde F. Ammon, 57, plumbing and heating contractor of Elverson, died Saturday afternoon in his home. A native of Elverson, he was a son of the late George L. and Emma (Dumn) Ammon.

He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the Elverson Rod and Gun Club, Elverson Fire Co., Col. Jacob Morgan Post 537, American Legion, Johanna; Birdsboro Sportsmen's Club; Friendship Fire Co., Geigertown, and the Morell Gun Club of Tioga County.

Survivors include his widow, Alice E. (McGowan) Ammon; four brothers, George W. of Collegeville R.D. 2; Charles H., Malvern; and Mathias E. and Elwood S., both of Reading, and two sisters, Grace L., widow of Robert Erving, Reading, and mary I., widow of Melvin Snyder of Elverson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Shalkop Funeral Home, Birdsboro, with the Rev. Alfred H. Varndell officiating. Burial will be made in St. Paul's Methodist Church Cemetery, Geigertown.
