Earl Samuel LaHue was the son of Joseph Thomas and Maria Altha Coe LaHue.

Earl married Winifred Park on December 31, 1908. They had one daughter.

Earl began his banking career in Decatur, Illinois and continued after the family moved to Filer, Idaho. He served as County Treasurer for Twin Falls County and on many other civic and religious boards and organizations.
