East Liverpool Review, East Liverpool OH, Thursday 02 April 1975, page 5 - LISBON - JOSEPH A. ROWLEY, 70, of Route 518, Lisbon, died suddenly at 9 p.m. Wednesday at his home after being stricken with an apparent heart attack. A farmer and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lisbon where he had served as an elder, Mr. Rowley was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of the Wayne Township Grange. He was born in Wayne Township March 6, 1905, the son of WILLIAM and SARAH HICKMAN ROWLEY. Mr. Rowley is survived by his widow, the former HELEN E. DAVIS, to whom he was wed on Oct. 16, 1945; a daughter, MRS. JERRY K. (BETTY) WOLFORD of Salem; a son, WILLIAM ROWLEY, at home, and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home by his pastor, the Rev. John R. Owen. Burial will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
