He was born on July 22, 1894 at Russell, the son of the late Burton S. and Bertha T. Barbour.

Mr. married Miss Alice O'Driscoll of Canton on July 14, 1917.

He graduated from Canton HS and taught in rural schools for two years later entering and graduating from Albany Business College. He was an assistant chief clerk and plant and accountant at the Massena plant of the Aluminum Company of America.

Surviving was his wife; three sons, Robert, who is in the U. S. Army; Ralph and Charles Barbour, Massena, and three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Kirkey; Marion and Mary Alice, at home; a sister, Mrs. William Wing of Massena and a brother, Harold of Florence, AL.

Barber Couple Wed 25 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Barbour of 29 Elm St. last week celebrated the 25th anniversary of their marriage.
Glenn E. Barbour of Potsdam and Alice O. Driscoll of Canton were married July 14, 1917, at Canton by the late Rev. J. H. O'Neal of St. Mary's Church. After a wedding trip in Vermont, they came to Massena to reside and for the past 16 years have maintained their home on Elm St.
Mr. Barbour is post office manager of the local plant of the Aluminum Company of America, a member of the plant 25-Year Club, a chartered member of the American Legion Post 79.
Mrs. Barbour, before her marriage, was a teacher in the Boon St. School in Watertown. She is now a member and a past president of the LCBA, a member and past president the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Girl Scout council, Civic League, and Women's Republican Club of Massena.
They have six children, three sons and three daughters. The oldest son, Robert, is a private in the army at Fort Knox, Ky. The second son, Ralph, is employed at the local aluminum plant, having graduated in June from Massena High School. The third son, Charles is still in high school. The oldest daughter, Mrs. Kenneth J. (Dorothy) Kirkey, and her son, John Barbour Kirkey, are visiting with her parents while her husband, Cpl. Kenneth J. Kirkey is in the service, stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. The two younger daughters, Marcia Joan and Mary Alice are still in school and reside with their parents.
