Richard's death certificate incorrectly shows his step mother, Maudie Walker, to be his mother. Information given to me is that his mother and sister died during the war and his dad remarried when Richard was a young child.

FREEMAN, RICHARD HUBBARD SR.
Richard Hubbard Freeman Sr., 76, of Kate Ross Homes, died at his home at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilkerson and Hatch Chapel, rev. Fred DeVaney officiating, burial in Rosemound Cemetery.
Survivors are his widow: two sons, R. H. Freeman, Jr. and H. M. Freeman, both of Waco; one daughter, Mrs. R. E. Mallard of Waco: three brothers, C. M. Freeman of Mart, M. W. Freeman of Houston, Jess Freeman of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
