1964 Sep 8 Tue p.2A DALLAS – Mrs.Helen Cody Adair,age 40,died Sunday at 5:30 p.m.in a Gastonia hospital after a lingering illness. She was a resident of Rosewood Dr.,Dallas. Funeral servies were to be held today at 4 p.m.at Modena Street Baptist Church with the Rev.Lonnie Sneed and the Rev.George Walker conducting. Burial was to be in Gaston Memorial Park. The body remained at Dallas Funeral Home until an hour prior to the service,when it was taken to the church to lie in state. Survivors include her husband,James Adair;two sons,Keith Bowman and Timothy Adair,both of the home;two sisters,Mrs.Ruth Cherry of Dallas and Mrs.Ruby Burden of Clinton,S.C.;three brothers,John Cody of Gastonia,Frank Cody of Miami,Fla.,and Paul Cody of New Jersey;and her mother,Mrs.Oklahoma Cody of Dallas.
