Service is 1 p.m. Friday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia, with Rev. Randall Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Greenville, Tennessee, Mrs. Adair was the daughter of the late David and Amanda Gosnell Gunter . She was a retired winder from Ticaro--Threads Plant of Gastonia with over 26 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Adair; four daughters, Barbara Blackwelder of Concord, Karen G. Carter of Shelby, Susan A. Myers of Gastonia, and Rita Paysour of Dallas; two sons, Allen R. Carter of Gastonia, and Cleatus J. Adair of High Shoals; brother, Don Gunteer of Statesville; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
