Mrs. BELLE R. BREESE
Mrs. Belle Rudd Breese, native of Bennington and graduate of the former Bennington High School, class of 1903, died this morning at her home on Holiday Drive, Shaftsbury. She was 91.
Daughter of Elmer and Susan Rudd, she was born May 27, 1884 and married Harry G. Breese in Hoosick, N.Y. on March 15, 1905. He died in 1958.
She was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Bennington and belonged to Branch 4 of the Alter Guild of that church. She was also a member of the Bennington chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She leaves two daughters and two sons, Jane Ryberg of Palmyra, N.Y., Robert Breese and Isabelle Marshall, both of Hoosick and Alex Breese of Shaftsbury, 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home Sunday at 2 pm, with entombment following in Park Lawn Cemetery vault, Bennington, pending burial in the Rudd family plot, Old Bennington Cemetery, at a later date.
The family will be in attendance at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennington Museum through the funeral home office.
