Died July 10, 1929 Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA. Buried Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, CA next to his brothers and sister.
Franklin lived in Vermilion County Illinois until he was 3 and with his family they moved in 1856 to Madison County Iowa by caravan. By 1858 they were settled in Jackson, Madison County, Iowa on a farm.
Franklin was married to Elizabeth Olive Brown June 01, 1876 Madison Co., Iowa. Elizabeth was born April 07, 1859 and died October 31, 1884 in Iowa. They had 1 daughter Avo 1878.
After Elizabeth died Franklin remarried Francis E. they had no children.
Franklin was a Doctor and lived in Pottawattamie County, Iowa in 1880 and by 1885 in Kansas and by the 1890's in Colorado. In 1910 he was in Los Angeles, California single.
Franklin read his paper on immigration at the immigration conference in New York in December of 1905.
