William F Cripe, 77, died at two o'clock Monday morning at his home in Goshen, after an illness of a year with cancer of the stomach. He was born in Elkhart county, the son of Mr and Mrs Samuel Cripe and lived on a farm near Wakarusa until eleven years ago, when he moved to Goshen. He was a member of the West Side Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, four sons, Charles of Goshen, Irvin of South Bend; Oliver of Walkerton; and Dayton of New Carlisle; five daughter, Mrs Isabelle Jones of LaPorte; Mrs Minnie Sult of Elkhart; Mrs Sadie Bennet of Seatle, Wash; Mrs Susie Morningstar of Goshen and Mrs Dorothy Mercier of Goshen; forty-seven grand children, ten great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs Katherine Cripe of Goshen and Mrs Lydia Rowe of Bremen.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at 2:00 at the West Side Church of the Brethren, Goshen. The Rev Frank Kreider and Rev Wm Hess officiated and burial made in the Olive cemetery.
