PLEASANT VIEW - Parley Herman Anderson, 63, of Pleasant View, died yesterday at his home after an extended illness. Prior to moving to Pleasant View a year ago to operate an orchard, Mrs. Anderson had resided at 886 12th St. in Ogden. He was a former employee of the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. Injured in the Railroad shops in 1932, he retired. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of BPOE 719. He was a member of the LDS Pleasant View Ward. He married Ivy Seifert in Salt Lake City. She died in 1938 in Ogden. He was born 19 Apr 1890 in Ogden, a son of Peter and Anna A. Nelson Anderson. Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Francis (Carol) Hassel and Mrs. Harold (Gay) Empey, Ogden; Mrs. Fay A. Hancock, Pleasant View, and Mrs. Dean (Lurline) Rigby, Moroni, Utah; sis grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters; Frank W. Anderson, Oakland, Calif., Clarence P. Anderson, Piedmont,
Calif.; Roy J. Anderson, Alameda, Calif.; Mrs. Julia Bingham, Wilson and Mrs Esther Henderson, Great Falls, Mont. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Funeral Chapel. 3408 Washington Blvd., Bishop Jay H. Rhees of the LDS Pleasant View Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel Wednesday from 8 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until the service hour. Interment will be in Ogden City Cemetery.
