Marilyn Helen Brown Hanson was born July 29, 1942, at Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Vernon C. and Helen M. Hackett Brown.

She was a member of the LDS Church, former Relief Society work director. She graduated high school in Bountiful, Utah where she was class vice president and valedictorian. She graduated from the University of Utah having majored in textiles and clothing. She is affiliated with Chi Omega and was a member of Spurs and Sigma Delta Omicron.

She married C. Bennair Hanson July 8, 1964 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She had lived in Idaho Falls since their marriage and was employed in Idaho Falls as an office secretary and receptionist for a finance company.

She and her husband were returning home from visiting his parents at Annis when their car collided head on with a vehicle that crossed into their lane.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Romney, Bountiful, Utah; a sister, Jackie Brown and a brother, Tommy Brown, both of Bountiful; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hackett, Ogden, Utah.

Double funeral services for C. Bennair and Marilyn Helen Brown Hanson will be held Wednesday, at 1 p.m. in the South Bountiful LDS Ward chapel, 1500 South 8th West Street. Friends may call at the Union Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services.

Additional joint services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. in the Rigby 1st and 4th Ward chapel. Friends may call at the Eckersell Mortuary, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services.

Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
