Brenda Kaye Leonard– age 53 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, St. Mary's.

Brenda was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed the Ladies Bible Study Group at Shepherd of the Hills Baptist Church. Brenda loved her Lord, all things he created in nature and enjoyed playing the piano.

She was currently employed as the office manager at Industrial Fabrication and Repair (IFR) in Knoxville where she had devoted more than thirty years of service.

Brenda was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a precious daughter and a cherished sister. An avid bowler, Brenda was a member of the Knoxville Bowling Hall of Fame.

She was preceded in death by her father, D.T. (Doc) Hutson and a nephew, Brandon Owen.

She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-two years, Norman Leonard; sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Liane Leonard and Dustin Leonard; mother, Loma Hutson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jody Hutson; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Bart Owen; mother-in-law, Betty Graves; sisters-in-law and brother--in-law, Janet Leonard, Debbie and Bob McCarter; nephew, Preston Owen; niece, Tabitha Owen; special friend, Joni Webb and her extended bowling family; granddogs, Oscar and Ernie.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Leland Lyon officiating.

Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery.
