Wife of Alfred E. Tryon

MRS. TRYON, 74 PASSES AWAY
Former Resident of Norfolk Dies
Mrs. Nellie Bemis Tryon, aged 74, a former resident of Norfolk, passed away Thursday in New Britain, Connecticut, after an illness of two years. Mrs. Tryon was born December 13, 1859, the daughter of Erskine and Eliza Bemis, of Norfolk. She married Alfred Tryon and five children were born to them. Mr. Tryon passed away in 1928 and since his death, Mrs. Tryon has resided with her children. In October, 1931, Mrs. Tryon was returning from a visit with her son, Clifford, and wife in California, when she suffered a shock. She was taken to the home of her daughter, June, Mrs. Frederick Andrew, in New Britain, Connecticut and was later removed to a nursing home where she passed away.

Mrs Tryon is survived by five children, Mrs. June Andrew, New Britain, Conn., Mrs. Mabel Jackman, Toronto, Ont., Clifford Tryon, Hayward, Calif., Fred Tryon, Pulaski, Va.; two sisters, Eva, Mrs. Clarence Spotswood, Palmer, N. Y., Mary, Mrs. E.U. Plumb, Norfolk, N. Y.

Services were held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Tryon at Winthrop at 2:30 p.m., Sunday. Rev. B. J. Davison, of the Methodist church, officiated. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Brasher Falls.
