Following an illness of several months, Fred R. Bumpus, aged 66 years died at his home in Bradleytown on Friday. He was a resident of Plum township all his life. On April 12, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Elma Davison and to this union 10 children were born. His widow and the following children survive the deceased: Leo S. Bumpus, of Bradleytown, Maxwell of Blue Springs, Miss., Leonard D., at home, Theodore, of Pitcairn, and Nettie and Fern Bumpus at home. Mr. Bumpus was a carpenter, a member of the carpenters' union, and during his lifetime did considerable work in Franklin, where he was well known.
