A native of Putnam County, he was the son of the late John and Callie Philpot Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers was a farmer.
His family includes his wife, Beulah Hargis Rodgers; four
sons, Gene and Oliver Lee Rodgers, both of Bloomington Spr-
Ings, and Mack and Danny Rodgers, both of Baxter; a
daughter, Brenda Sue Loftis of Bloomington Springs; two
brothers, Clifford Rodgers of Cookeville and Edward Rodgers
of Baxter; three sisters, Virginia Chaffin, Dorene Lafever and Mable Scarlett, all of Baxter; and eight grandchildren.
