Actor. Best remembered for his roles on television as 'Sir John Gallagher' in "Justice" in 1972, 'French' in "John Browne's Body" in 1969, 'Brigadier Davidson' in "The Rat Catchers" in 1966, and 'Sgt. Harry Frost' in "Jacks And Knaves" in 1961. Stone was born in England, and went onto become a talented stage actor appearing in his first production in 1947, and many more in the years to come. He was discovered in 1969 by director Stanley Kubrick in 1969, while he was playing in the production of "The Contractor" at the Royal Court. He went onto appear in several films including, "Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom" (1984), "Pope John Paul II" (1984), "Lace" (1984), "The Phantom Of The Opera" (1983), "Green Ice" (1981), "Flash Gordon" (1980), "The Shining" (1980), "S.O.S. Titanic" (1979), "The Medusa Touch" (1978), "Philby, Burgess And Maclean" (1977), "Voyage of The Damned" (1976), "It Shouldn't Happen To A Vet" (1975), "Barry Lyndon" (1975), "Death In Deep Water" (1975), "O Lucky Man!" (1973), "Hitler! The Last Ten Days" (1973), "To Encourage The Others" (1972), "Carry On At Your Convenience" (1971), "Quest For Love" (1971), "A Clockwork Orange" (1971), "Carry On Loving" (1970), "Fragment Of Fear" (1970), "The man Who Had Power Over Women" (1970), "Two Gentlemen Sharing"(1969), "Where Eagles Dare" (1968), "The Isle Is Full Of Noise" (1967), "Thunderball" (1965), "Never Mention Murder" (1963), "Unearthly Stranger" (1963), and "The Ship That Couldn't Stop" (1961). Also appeared on television in "A Touch Of Frost," "Heartbeat," "Home To Roost," "Yes Minister," "Bergerac," "Target," "Star Maidens," "Jason King," "Fraud Squad," "The Avengers," "Top Secret," and "The Organisation" in 1971.
