Henegar Martin. She was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. She retired after many years of service in the nursing field from St. Mary's in Knoxville. Sue was a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew
her. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jack Lay; son, Bobby Lynn Goodman; sisters, Billie Kuhn and Margaret Martin; brothers, Curtis, Jack, Ernest, Clarence and Lawrence Martin. She is survived by her son, Charles Martin Lay of Lake City; sister, Janice Goodman of LaFollette; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Jenny Martin of Ravenswood, WVA; sisters-in-law, Joan Martin and Bobbie Martin both of Lake City; special niece and husband, Donna and Sam McCarter of Kingston; special nephew and wife, Wayne and Sandra Richardson of Lake City; very dear friend, Diane Higgs and Patty Tweed Willis and special neighbors of Lake City. She had many other friends and relatives. Funeral services were held Aug. 8 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Courtney officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Aug. 9 in the Leach Cemetery. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
