Angelina Lewis, 82, of Peru, passed away at 6:48 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor, Peru. She was born in Miami County, Sept. 15, 1928 the daughter of Peter and Filippa Russo Ergo.
Angelina was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella. She had been employed by Bryan Manufacturing, W.C. Redmon and Son and the former Bubble Light Company in Peru.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Lewis Pearce and her husband Brian of Peru; sons Dennis Lewis and his wife Lenetta of Syracuse, Ronald Lewis of Daytona, Fla., and Mark Lewis Ergo and his wife Fonell of Bellingham, Wash.; grandchildren Jason Lewis, Nathaniel Lewis, Amber Lewis Combs, Samuel Lewis and his wife Heather, Mikaela Lewis Wiggs and her husband John, SGT. Chad Pearce, Tricia Pearce Zabst and her husband Brad, Vanessa Ergo, Veno Ergo, Melanie Lewis Davis, Malina Lewis Johnson, 17 great-grandchildren and a sister Catherine Bates of Watauga, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a son James Edward Lewis, Jr., grandsons Hunter Lewis and Kalvin Zabst, brothers John, Frank, and Tony Ergo and sisters Mary Borst, Rose Kent and Josephine Curton.
A service celebrating the life of Angelina Lewis will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, with Deacon Truman Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Peru. Family and friends will gather from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
