Born Nov. 25, 1915, in Araby, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Twain and Emma Elizabeth Stultz Waltz.
Mrs. Wiles was a member of the New Market United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Barbara Lee Summers and husband, Oscar of Thurmont' seven sons, Alfred A. Wiles and wife, Shirley, Thomas E Wiles and wife, Doris, all of New Market, Maurice L. Wiles and wife, Donna of Mount Airy, Robert W. Wiles and wife, Carolyn of Emmitsburg, Wayne R. Wiles of Frederick, David E. WIles and wife, Shirley who live near New Windsor and Bruce T. Wiles and wife, Nancy of Thurmont; one sister, Catherine V. Buxton of Frederick; two brothers, Austin E Waltz of Sykesville and Meredith "Bud" Waltz of Frederick; 22 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Waltz.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Libertytown Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler, with her pastor, The Rev. Gary Sheffield-James officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens near Frederick.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, and Wednesday, March 2.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick Memorial Hospital Homecare and Hospice, 400 W. Seventh St., Frederick, Md. 21701.
