Florence E. Kouts, 89, of Evansville, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 1996 at Columbia Nursing Plaza.
She was a teacher for the Henderson County Schools and Mount Vernon School systems where she taught English and Latin.
She was active in the Junior Classical League Latin Club and was a member of Friendship Methodist Church and Homemaker's Club, both of Eddyville, KY., where she and her husband had retired.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Clarence E., a daughter, Connie Fenwick of Evansville, four sons, Russell E. Kouts of Carmel, Ind., Paul C. Kouts of Marion, Ill., Thomas P. Kouts, of Eldorado, Ill., and John S. Kouts of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev Shane O'Neill officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association.
