WILSON -- William Cooper Pitt Sr., 70, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Joyner's Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Sebastian officiating. Burial will follow in Macclesfields Cemetery.
Pitt was retired from Universal Leaf Tobacco Company.
Pitt is survived by his wife, June Pittman Pitt; a daughter, Iris Pitt Liles of Wilson; a son, William Cooper Jr. of Wilson: mother, Maybelle Bundy Pitt of Pinetops; a sister, Carol Ann Harris of Pinetops and two grandchildren.
