Herbert Landis Rites Are Set
Services for Herbert H. Landis, 72, of 1308 Jefferson ave., who died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be Wednesday noon at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.
Born at Peru, Mr. Landis had lived in Des Moines 30 years. He was a maintenance employe at Hotel Savery before he retired in 1958. He was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible.
Surviving are his widow, Mabel; two sons, Herbert E. of McHenry, Ill., and Bill D. of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Neal, and a brother, Frank, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. June Croft of Des Moines and Mrs. Pansie Ruth of Coco Beach, Fla., and nine grandchildren.
