GERALD 'JERRY' LEE BENSON, 49, of Memphis, ironworker for local 167, died of heart failure Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. James Catholic Church with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge.
Mr. Benson leaves two daughters, Jennifer Murphy of Brighton, Tenn., and Jessica Benson of Memphis; a son, Joseph Benson of Memphis; his parents, Jackson Raymond and Dorothy Benson; three brothers, James M. Benson and Jackson L. Benson, both of Dallas, and Robert J. Benson of Bolivar, Tenn., and a grandchild.
