A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at Macclesfield Cemetery at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Frank Cockrell.
Mrs. Atkinson was a member of First Christian Church of Macclesfield.
She is survived by a daughter, Nina Griffin, and husband, J.D., of the home; a son, A.A. Atkinson of Macclesfield; a sister, Edna W. Lewis of Greenville; a brother, Pat Whitehurst of Greenville; four grandchildren, John Moore and wife, Cheryl, of Elm City, Al Atkinson, Mark Atkinson and Chris Atkinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Macclesfield.
The family will receive friends at Farmville Funeral Home Monday from 7-9 p.m.
