Born William Harvey Corbit to Robert Benjamin Corbit (father) and Lydia Vickers (mother); the grave of Lydia has not been found to date.

When Flora Holeman married W. H. Corbit, 13 Jan 1913 in San Bernardino, CA., she said she did not like the spelling of CorBIT, so she changed it to CorBETT. Together they had five children, Leslie, Harvey, Paul, Alfreda and Afton.

Although they remained married, they lived together off and on as he was a laborer and travelled from Oklahoma, Texas, California & Arkansas. Flora as well moved from state to state, including those mentioned, and Colorado.
