Nancy Jones was born in 1920 in Caddo, Oklahoma (Bryan County), daughter of L. Cull Jones and Rosie (Bevel). The 1930 Federal Census for Caddo, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Nancy Jones, age 10, born in Oklahoma; living with her father, Cull, age 57, born in Louisiana; and her mother, Rosie, age 50, born in Arkansas. Also living in the household were Nancy's siblings: Lute, age 16; Buddie, age 14; and George, age 24; all born in Oklahoma. In addition, Cull's mother, Susan, a widow, age 90, born in Alabama; was living with the family.

Nancy was fatally injured on the afternoon of November 16, 1934, on the highway west of her home about two miles south of town, when she departed the Caddo School bus which was taking students home after a football game. Nancy was a member of the junior class at the local high school.

Nancy Jones, 14-year old Caddo girl, died almost instantly when she stepped in front of a car after getting off the school bus in front of her home two miles south of Caddo. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Jones. Funeral services at the First Methodist Church in Caddo with burial at the Caddo Cemetery.
