Keller Clark, a highly respected resident for 47 years of Middlefield Center, died Sunday at 7 PM, in the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, where he had been a medical patient for one week. He had been in failing health for over four years during which time all available means for his recovery had been exhausted.

Masonic services were held at the home of the late brother. Tuesday evening at 830 and the funeral services at his home Wednesday at 2 PM, with the Rev. Joseph C. Fields, pastor of Milford and Middlefield Center Presbyterian churches officiating. Temporary committal was made in the Tillapaugh . Funeral home wall in Cooperstown for Spring interment in the family plot in Lakewood Cemetery.

Mr. Clark's grand parents on the parental side pioneered for the town of Middlefield from Connecticut in 1826, while his grandfather on the maternal side, brought his bride to the place in April 1847, where he established a prosperous shoemaking business employing several men in the building or recently converted into a garage with son named D. H. Keller still in evidence. Surely this was some old landmark and sell them a summer past that elderly people often from distant places would call once more to see where their copper-toed shoes were made.

Mr. Clark was born in the town of Middlefield, November 8, 1875, at the Clark Homestead. The son of Veree and Albertin (Keller) Clark.

After attending the Cooperstown Union school, prompted by his love for animal husbandry, he attended Ontario veterinary College at Ontario, Canada, graduated in 1896.

He returned home and practiced his profession in this locality for 25 years. During World War I, one, he went to Battle Creek, Michigan, where he was registered and took over the practice of his college friend, the late Dr. C. C. Mix. After the war closed, he returned to the Keller home in Middlefield Center and retired, devoting his time, mostly to the care of his domestic animals.

The national Holstein-Friesian Association of Battleboro, Vt., reserved for the heard prefix, "Kellervale" for his exclusive use, and he found pleasure in building up his dairy.

He was twice married, to Ms. Edith Coleman of Cooperstown, October 24, 1896, whose death occurred July 15, 1907 and two Ms. Leila Brown of Middlefield, whom he married September 28, 1910, and who has been his devoted helpmate throughout their married life.

Surviving are the widow; a son, Harris G. Clark, Junior,AAF, in India; F. O. Harold Clark, AAF, stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Ms. Lucille F. Clark, and Douglas A. and Robert J. Clark, all at home; one brother, Howard Clark, who operates the Clark Homestead Farm in Whig Corners.

Mr. Clark attended the Middlefield Center Presbyterian church, and was a member of that Cherry Valley Lodge, No. 334, F. & A. M.

The largely attended service and the floral contributions attested to the esteem in which he was held.
