Came to the US in 1886. Was appointed Rock Springs Chief of Police, elected Mayor in 1923, served 10 years.

From the Dannebrog (Nebraska) News, May 15, 1913, page 4, transcribed by Linda Berney:
Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Bunning left on DeLuxe No. 2 Thursday evening for New York and will sail on the Krown Princess Cecelia of the North German Lloyd Line for Bremen, the first of the week. They will spend one week each in Hamburg, Berlin and Kiel, Germany, and Copenhagen Denmark. The rest of their time will be spent at Mrs. Bunning's old home in Aarhus, Denmark. They will return the latter part of July on the magnificient new steamship, ???perator of the Hamburg line. - Reprinted from the Rock Springs Miner.
