FARR WEST – Larry Dale Brand, age 55, passed away on September 1, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born October 10, 1955 in Midvale Utah, to Elden Dale Brand and Wilberta (Birdie) Gosman Brand. He married Cathy Ann Westergard on July 28, 1981 in the Ogden Temple. They were married 30 years.

Larry lived in Roy for 26 years and recently moved to Farr West. He graduated from Hill Crest High School in Midvale, Utah and attended Weber State University and BYU. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Billings, Montana and held many positions including Bishop of the Roy 8th Ward and Gospel Doctrine Teacher in the Farr West 4th Ward. He also worked with the scouting program. He loved being a husband, father and grandfather.

Larry worked for UTA as Senior Office Coordinator. He also loved being a Pampered Chef Consultant. He loved woodworking, holiday decorating, broadway music, nature, cooking and interior decorating.

The family would like to thank the emergency crew and the staff at McKay-Dee Hospital who took good care of him.

Larry is survived by his wife, Cathy; three sons and one daughter– Jerry Nicholas (Sharee) Brand, Troy Dustin (Heather) Brand, Lance Michael Brand and Candice Marie Brand; two sisters and one brother – Cheryl Brand (Gale) Nielsen, Robert (Sharon) Brand and Joan (Merrill) Enniss; and three grandchildren – Madison Paige Brand, Parley Jason Brand and Cadence Isabella Brand.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Farr West Stake Center, 2132 W. 2700 N., Farr West, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 5th from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah and again on Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
