Services for Dominic Davis, 41, of Harker Heights, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with Pastor Joseph Dickerson officiating. Mr. Davis died Aug. 23, 2011, at a local hospital.

KILLEEN (August 24, 2011)—Killeen police Wednesday were investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a 41-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released.
Police later identified the man as Dominic Allen Davis of Killeen.
Officers responding to a report of gunfire found Davis in a vehicle that crashed through a fence and ended up in the backyard of a home at around 9:45 pm. Tuesday near the intersection of Conder Street and Zephyr Road.
He had been shot in the torso, police said Wednesday.
Davis was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Tennessee Highway Patrolman Gray Gibson arrested Vern in Bradley County Tuesday.
