Herman J. Olm, 83, of 405 Columbus Ave., Brillion,; died unexpectedly at his home; Wednesday.
He was born Sept. 3, 1884, in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Herman A. and Laura Wirth Olm, and on February 12, 1908, was married to the former Bertha Ansorge at Collins. The couple farmed in the Collins area after their marriage.
Mr. Olm was later a cheesemaker in the Wrightstown, Forest Junction and Brillion area. In 1946 the couple retired and moved to Brillion. Mrs. Olm died in 1955.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Brillion, a past president of the congregation, and for many years was an active member of the city council.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hildegard Krueger, R. 1, Brillion and Mrs. Ewald (Eleanor) Greve and Mrs. Ervin (Betsy) Redloff, both of Appleton; a son, Eugene, Brillion; nine grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Henry Draheim, Collins, Mrs. Emil Waak, Manitowoc and Mrs. Carl Brick, Wells; and a brother, Jonathan, Reedsville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. The Rev. Arden Stuebs, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion. from 2 p.m. Saturday until 12 noon Sunday and at the church until the time of services.
