John Patrick Stafford, 55, of Van Vleck, TX died July 3, 2005 as a result of an automobile accident in Brazoria Co. He was born January 30, 1950 in Manila, Philippines to Dorothy O'Connell and Harry Arthur Stafford II.
John was a resident of Van Vleck for the past 4 1/2 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Van Vleck. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1975 with a Masters of Business Administration. He was currently a faculty member of Bay City ISD teaching Spanish. Survivors include: wife: Carol Stafford; daughter: Catherine Elizabeth Stafford both of Orlando, FL; son: Timothy Edward Stafford of Chicago, IL; mother: Dorothy Stafford of Van Vleck; brother & sister-in-law: Edward & Karen Stafford of Van Vleck; brother: Richard Stafford of Houston; sister-in-law: Cheri Stafford of Kathleen, GA; nephew: Harry A. Stafford IV of Spring Hill, TN; nieces: Jennifer Burkhalter of Painted Post, NY, and Melissa Stafford of Van Vleck, TX; 1 great niece: Lane Elizabeth Stafford and 1 great nephew: Harry A. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church of Van Vleck with Rev. Linda Maxey officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Pat O'Connell, Mike O'Connell, Tommy Bridgwater, Billy Bickham, Paul Bickham, Dan O'Connell, Bob Baird, and Ken Ballinger. The family will receive friends at Taylor Bros.
