Edward Paul Hoffman, 83, of Mechanicsville, MD (formerly of
Hyattsville, MD). He died on August 25, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Hoffman was a self-employed roofer for 60 years and a
Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War
II. He was a member of St. Catherine�s Catholic Church in
McConchie, MD and a past member of the VFW Post in Indian
Head, MD. He was involved in his younger years with boxing with
the Boys Club. He was an avid football fan and known as always
working.

Born May 11, 1928 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late
George Hoffman and the late Beulah Wheeler Hoffman.

Predeceased by his parents; his late wife, Constance M. Hoffman;
one late son, Stephen Michael Hoffman; one late brother, Michael
Hoffman; one late sister, Delores Osterhoudt; and one late son-in-
law, John Jenkins.

Survived by two daughters, Diana (Paul) Gray of Mechanicsville, MD
and Margaret Jenkins of Woodstock, VA; two brothers, James
Hoffman of NC and Donald Hoffman of DE. Also survived by six
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 10:30AM until
time of service at 11:30 AM at New Life Wesleyan Church, 9690
Shepherd�s Creek Place, La Plata, MD 20646.

Rev. Chris Bryan will officiate.

Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD
at 1PM.

Honorary Pallbearers will be United States Navy Honor Guard.
